Heartland Football League:
First – Any players that have already played in the Heartland League may continue to do so in 2010 and going forward until they are 13. The Heartland League has gone through some major changes as well this year with no “A” and “B” level teams. They have 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 teams with higher weight limits for carrying the ball and no limit to the actual weight as long as the age requirement is met.
Pop Warner comes to OSAA:
OSAA is proud to announce it also will be joining Pop Warner Football League this year! That means 5 through 12 year olds are now eligible to play.

The Suburban field crew does an outstanding job getting the fields ready and we are usually the first ones playing after it rains, but we could use your help. After the last game of the night the team in the first base dugout is responsible for raking the field. That means using the rake in the dugout and smoothing the field around the home plate area and the pitchers mound. It should take all of five minutes. You could help your coach out and while he or she is giving the post game talk you could do that for them. Agrilime is a great product but needs this daily maintence to repair the wear that a baseball game takes on the field. When we get an overnight rain or run the sprinklers on the infields this will help to keep the mound and batters box level.
